Didactics throughout this rotation will consist of:
- In Person Simulation Labs
- Foundations of Emergency Medicine (Case based learning) (Virtual, Optional)
- Asynchronous Didactics
- Resident Conferences (Optional)
With the nature of emergency medicine schedules, it’s challenging for us to be in the same place at the same time. This means that we’ll only be able to have a limited amount of in-person didactics, and likely less that you may have experienced on your other rotations. Asynchronous online content provided here is meant to supplement what we’re able to provide in person, providing material to cover both course objectives and additional high yield topics in emergency medicine.
The information collected below is a combination of textbook material (Mostly from the CDEM Curriculum), multimedia (podcasts and videos), and additional helpful FOAMEd (Free Open-Access Medical Education) material.
* = intended to directly address course objectives.
Primary textbook for this course:
CDEM Clerkship: Online textbook, divided into M3 and M4 curriculum. Don’t let the names fool you, both contain great information and should be thought of as more introductory and advanced topics, rather than separated by year.
